Why it exists
Mi Basket was born in the stands. We were following the kids in our family through the youth leagues and wanted to know how the game was going, who'd scored the points and how the team was doing, without having to keep asking around. We built it for ourselves and then opened it up to anyone who follows basketball in Uruguay: parents, grandparents, players, coaches and fans.
What it covers
The FUBB competitions (Liga Uruguaya, Liga de Ascenso, Liga Femenina, Tercera de Ascenso, youth divisions and the regional leagues outside Montevideo), the LBM with its eight divisions plus the +35 and the +40, and Uruguay's national teams. Live games, fixtures, standings, player stats and, wherever the game was filmed, every two-pointer and three-pointer on video.
Where the data comes from
The results, standings and stats are published openly by the FUBB, the LBM and FIBA. Mi Basket organizes it and puts it at your fingertips, but it doesn't make up or correct any numbers: if something doesn't match the source, that's our mistake and we'll fix it.
How it's funded
It's free, with no ads and no in-app purchases, and we don't sell anyone's data. We cover the costs ourselves. It isn't the official app of any federation, league or club.
